My story and why I love coaching

For many years I have heard that still small voice in my head telling me what my purpose in life is, but was so painfully shy I was not able to jump the hurdle of fear.  I knew I wanted to become a coach even before I knew what it was called.  Unfortunately, I cared for and supported others to the detriment of my own life.  I have achieved a balance, figured out who I am and became the person I was meant to be.  Now I am helping others do the same.  I highly recommend living an authentic life and doing what you love.  I coach for the love of others and my own enjoyment .  What could be better in life?  If you would like better in your life and would like support, encouragement and someone to hold you accountable, contact me and we'll talk about what you need from a coach and what I have to offer.

Owner & Coach

Who Am I?

I am a Christian who believes you have the right to believe what you choose.  I am resectful and non-judgemental.  I am here to assist with tools, support and to point out insights that you may not have realized. I will also keep you accountable and on track for what you choose to change.  If you are not a Christian we can talk about what I can do for you.  Click on the Introductory Session button on the bottom of this page.

My Philosophy

I believe you are the expert on yourself, though sometimes it is neccesary to dig through the grit and grime of our experiences to uncover the real you.  I believe that we all need each other because we are social beings, and two heads are much more productive than one.  I believe anyone can change when they are ready.  I believe when you know what you want, when you know how, and when you have support and accountability, miracles can happen.  I believe in you!

Experience

My relevant experience includes behavioral health triage and EAP call center specialist.  I am the mother of two adult daughters and divorced which led me to researching everything I could find on parenting and relationships.

Education

My educational background includes a BS in Psychology with classes in interpersonal communication, human development; and in mental health counseling, with classes in psychotherapy theories, multicultural counseling, career counseling and legal and ethics.

Process

  • I learn who you are

  • You become self-aware

  • We discover what you really want.

  • Clarify those wants.

  • Turn the wants into goals.

  • Prioritize those goals.

  • Create small steps toward those goals.

  • Adapt your focus and attitude.

  • Evaluate whether you are heading in the right direction.

  • Adjust your direction if needed.

This process may or may not be linear.  We can go as slow or as fast as you want to.  We may also skip steps depending on where you are in your change.
